"Are we ready yet?"
A tall man in a gray-and-white lab coat shook his head.
"Almost. The generators have enough energy stored, and we have the candidates picked out as well. But, you know how Doctor Dysens likes things punctual."
"Personally, I think he’s a bit mad," said the original speaker, a shorter man in the same gray-and-white coat.
They were in a brightly-lit room, surrounded by computers and machinery. The clock on the bottom right corner of the computer screen read "11:58" in small, black letters.
"Don’t say that- he’s got electro-ears everywhere!" Cried the taller man, glancing around fearfully. The shorter man spun around in his swivel chair a few times thoughtfully.
"Countdown. Thirty. Twenty-nine. Twenty-eight. Twenty-seven," the shorter man had his finger on the button, and was fully alert. The taller man was typing in a lengthy code on another computer.
"Nineteen. Eighteen. Seventeen. Sixteen. Fifteen." A large containment field filled with Nanocrons buzzed to life, ready to crack open, releasing the microscopic programs.
"Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. Activation- Now," the button clicked down, the containment field disappeared, and the Nanocrons, so small they could not be seen, zipped out into the world.
